Ridgeway Sunbeams Nursery

Ridgeway Sunbeams Nursery is registered for 60 children. Children can join Sunbeams the term after their third birthday. Sunbeams provides 3 hours of funded Nursery Education daily between 9am – 12pm, during school term time.

Fees, Funding and Sessions

  • We are open from 7.30am – 6.00pm Monday – Friday during school term time.
  • Fees are based on 38 weeks, paid monthly in advance.
  • All children will attend their 15 hour universal nursery entitlement during the morning sessions (9am – 12pm) 
  • Extended hours can be taken from 12pm – 3pm each day.
  • These can be combined with an early start from 7.30am and a late finish of 4.30pm or 6pm.
  • Extra sessions can be booked at short notice (subject to availability)

Over & Above

The Government funding is a great help towards covering childcare fees but it does not cover the Over & Above provision that makes Sunbeams the special place it is.

We want your children to have the best possible experience while they are with us. To ensure we can continue providing these additional extras – such as enriched resources, activities and experiences – we have introduced a small monthly charge to help cover these costs. We have kept this cost to the very minimum we can at just 50p per session.

The additional extras covered by this small charge include:

A healthy snack & drink each morning and afternoon

A weekly Soccatots session from Progressive Sports

Balanceability (summer term only)

Cooking & baking activities

*Participation in these activities and the associated cost is optional. Parents may choose to withdraw their child from the Over & Above provision and the charge will not apply.

Facilities

Children have access to a wide range of experiences in our Nursery. Outside play is very important to us and we are lucky to have our own under 5’s play area where children can run, climb and balance.

Our Early Years children also have access to the Forest School area with its own outdoor classroom, a MUGA, a daily mile and a dance studio.

Home Learning Packs to hire 

Home learning packs are available to hire between Friday and Tuesday for a fee of £1 per week.  Each pack contains a variety of books, activities and resources to enjoy at home with your children.  Packs include, Colour, New Baby, various stories, Moving house, toilet training and many more.
