School Opening Hours
Our Breakfast Club
Our Breakfast Club opens at 7:30am. Children in Years 1 – Year 6 will access Breakfast Club in the school hall. Entrance via the pedestrian gate at the main entrance. Please escort your child(ren) along the path to the blue double doors. Ring the bell and a staff member will greet you and your child.
Our EYFS Breakfast Club operates from the Rainbow Tots Room between 7.30am – 9am. Children in Rainbow Tots, Sunbeams Nursery and Reception can access this. Entrance is through the first white PVC door on the Sunbeams Playground, which takes the children directly into the classroom.
In both Breakfast Clubs, children will be taken to their classrooms at the start of the school day.
Start of school day
Our doors open at 8:45am to welcome our children into school. A member of staff will remain on the door until 8:55am, when our doors close. If your child arrives early, please note that there is no supervision prior to doors opening. If you arrive after the doors have closed, please make you way up to the main entrance for access.
Reception pupils enter school through their classroom doors from their playground.
Year 1 pupils enter school through their classroom doors from the KS1 playground.
The Reception playground is accessed from the pedestrian gate at the main entrance, through the blue gate into the Sunbeams playground or, via the steps along the path from the pedestrian gate on The Ridgeway.
Year 2 pupils enter school through the blue door on the KS1 playground.
The KS1 playground is accessed from the pedestrian gate at the main entrance or, via the steps on the slope from the pedestrian gate on The Ridgeway.
Year 3 – Year 6 pupils enter through one of the doors in the 2 storey block accessed from the pedestrian gate on The Ridgeway.
Sunbeams Nursery and Ridgeway Rainbow Tots open their doors at 9am. Pupils enter through the classroom doors on the Sunbeams playground. Sunbeam’s playground is accessed from the pedestrian gate at the main entrance and through the blue gate.
All school gates will be locked at 9.30am.
End of the school day
The school gates will be opened from 3:15pm. Children from Reception to Year 6 will be dismissed at 3.30pm from the same door that they entered school. Children will only be dismissed to a known adult unless prior agreement has been given. Children in upper KS2 can walk home unaccompanied with written parental permission. Children in afterschool club or taking part in an extra-curricula activity will be sent or escorted to that club.
Children in Rainbow Tots and Sunbeams Nursery will be dismissed at the end of their booked session.
Collection of children before the end of the school day will be from the main school office.
