What does this mean?
S.T.A.R.S is an acronym that stands for the things which we want our children to learn while they are with us.
Our Curriculum Drivers are elements that are central to our school vision and ethos. They help to drive and shape our curriculum and are incorporated across all subjects and themes.
STARS
We have established five key drivers which outline our aspirations for our children at Ridgeway. We have prioritised the key skills and aspirations we want our children to experience and develop during their time with us. We use these ‘drivers’ to underpin the learning and experiences we undertake in all areas of school life and to ensure our curriculum offer is enriched. These key drivers are personal to our school and reflect the social and educational needs of our local area for example in History we look at the Staffordshire Hoard as it was found locally to our school.
