Ridgeway Rainbow Tots

Rainbow Tots is registered for 30 children from their second birthday until the term after they turn 3 years old, when they would move into our Sunbeams Nursery room.

Ridgeway Rainbow Tots offers government funded places, subject to eligibility criteria – further details can be found on the Childcare Choices Website

Fees, Funding and Sessions

  • We are open from 7.30am – 6.00pm Monday – Friday during school term time.
  • Fees are based on 38 weeks, paid monthly in advance.
  • Sessions are available in 3 hour blocks: 
  • 9am -12pm (morning session)    12.30pm- 3.30pm (afternoon session)
  • These can be combined with an early start from 7.30am and a late finish of 4.30pm or 6pm.
  • Extra sessions can be booked at short notice (subject to availability)

Facilities

The large and comfortable room and secure outdoor play area offer a great range of resources – from crafts and imaginative play inside to climbing, balancing and pedal power outside.

Over & Above Provision

Government funding provides valuable support in covering childcare fees. However, it does not include our Over & Above provision — the special touches that make Rainbow Tots such a wonderful place to learn and grow.

At Rainbow Tots, we want every child to have the best possible experience. To help us continue offering those little extras — things that enrich your child’s time with us — we’ve introduced a small contribution of just 50p per session. This charge has been kept to the lowest possible amount.

The Over & Above provision includes:

  • A healthy snack and drink each morning and afternoon

  • A weekly Soccatots sessions with Progressive Sports

  • Balanceability sessions (summer term only)

  • Fun cooking and baking activities

Participation in the Over & Above provision is completely optional. Parents who choose not to take part may withdraw their child, and the charge will not apply.
