Ridgeway Sunbeams provides 3 hours of funded Nursery Education daily between 9am - 12pm, during term time to children aged 3 and 4 years. It is led by our EYFS Leader Mrs Beth Stringer with the support of three Key Workers: Mrs Mandy Crouch, Mrs Jill Tuckey and Miss Becky Vardy.
Children can attend Sunbeams the term after their third birthday.
Children have access to a wide range of expereinces in our Nursery. All activities are planned so that they are age and stage appropriate, ensuring that everything is done in a fun way. Outside play is very important to us and we are lucky to have our own under 5's play area where children can run, climb and balance, as well as a Forest School area on site with its own outdoor classroom.
Sunbeams operates three intakes each year; September, January & April. Children born between 1st September and 31st March will be offered a further one or two terms in an afternoon pre-nursery session as part of their free entitlement led by Miss Hailey Birch.
In 2015 the Government introduced its 30 hour Extended Entitlement, which enables families who meet certain criteria to access a further 15 hours of child care during school term time. At Sunbeams Nursery this is provided between 12pm - 3pm each day imediately following the morning nursery session.
If you wish to order a meal from the school kitchen or book additional care either before or after your child's nursery funded hours, please contact Mrs Julie Lunn in the school office on 01543 227170
